Dear Shipmates
Introduction
Hi. Experienced sailor with my retirement boat, currently cruising and staying in Alaska until August 2022.
She's stout and having received a total refit including state of the art electronics, re-configuration of interior spaces and upgrades to all other systems aboard. This is not a fast boat, but a very seaworthy and economical long range cruiser. The overall plan is for extended cruising beginning in the Pacific Northwest and including circumnavigating the United States. We are currently cruising in SouthEast, Alaska. I am always looking for response from potential crew. I seek crew members willing to take part in a long term, broad ranging cruise. I'm in no great hurry, and want crew who is of like mind. Savor the journey over the destination. I am really looking for one person to crew permanently and help in all aspects of the cruise.
A little about the boat, the plans, and the current crew
usually clean, comfortable, immaculate, very safe, vessel is survey certified, very spacious, live on little money, have a holiday, share experience, visit remote places, seek adventure, fulfill a dream, learn a language, find a soulmate/partner, live off the grid, multicultural
Because I am in my seventies, I'm looking for a younger male crew between 18 and 35 yrs to join me on an extended cruise. I need to depend on the physical abilities of a younger person. The potential crew should be open to new places, experiences, culture and people, have a love for the open ocean as well as an appreciation for the beauty of the areas we visit.
No giant egos please, no drama, just cruise with me and friends / family who will be joining us at times.
The loose plan is to cruise various areas of the coastal US and North America beginning in Alaska and the Aleutians, British Columbia, Mexico, Central America, through the Panama Canal, up through the Gulf coast and east coast and on to Europe. Continuing down the west coast of Europe and Africa, I'd like to head back across the South Atlantic to Argentina and then down and through the Straights of Magellan while cruising Patagonia. Then up the west coast of South America to Ecuador and across to the Galapagos and then on down through the South
Pacific. We will be cruising at various times in tropical areas and in colder climates too.
Eventually this will become a circumnavigation. No real end time-frame.
What's expected of the crew aboard this boat
confident swimmer, good listener, good communicator, travel light (little luggage), respectful, clean & tidy, committed, eager to learn & work, fit & healthy, friendly, polite, LGBTIQA+ respectful, diligent, positive outlook, organised, trustworthy, open minded, enthusiastic, easy going, sense of humor, can pay own expenses, ready to party, enjoy cooking, don't mind cleaning, good with maintenance, can follow orders, will not bring a pet, harmony
Duties aboard are to stand watches, do moderate daily boat chores (maintenance, cleaning, paint and varnish touchup, light mechanical), share cooking details, and become part of the overall experience.
This type of cruising, "gunk-holing", is slow paced and dependent on weather, local conditions (visas etc.) and opportunities for cultural experiences as well as whimsy. No real time restraints or deadlines.
This is not a paid position but neither is a monetary contribution expected. Crew will be paid to participate in some of the maintenance as I would have to pay for some of it anyway. This should provide funds for personal necessities. All other expenses aboard are paid by the boat.
Since I am a bit challenged by the process of using social media and the associated technologies, it would be a plus if the crew-member is also interested in social media and web-blogging as well as video, You Tube and Instagram. All types of opportunities exist in the media. I have a web site and Instagram link for the eventual purpose of vlogging but do need help in establishing a You Tube channel and following.I have a couple of cameras aboard and Satellite capability.

Introduction
Hi There!
I've been sailing for ten years and have 12-15 years additional experience in small power boats (20'-25'). I received a USCG, OUPV, Captain's License ("six pack") a while ago, but never used it due to career moves.
I have a somewhat varied background as; a former civilian commercial and instructor pilot (single engine - light aircraft), a military and civilian parachutist/skydiver, a USAF aircrew member, scuba diver, and as a rescue specialist with the military (USAF).
For work, and as a hobby, one of my passions for 10-12 years was climbing (rock and big mountain).
For years I was a bit of an adrenaline junkie but have toned it back a bit and now enjoy quiet time as well.
I was fortunate being able to travel internationally, and outside the U.S. I have lived in England, Taiwan, Peru, Tunisia, Cuba, and Colombia. With work and vacation, I've traveled to about 30 other countries under good and not so good conditions. I'm a native English speaker and pretty fluent in Spanish, I lived and worked in Spanish speaking countries for over 10 years.
I am seeking crew who has sailing or other relevant experience or is eager to learn, who can and is willing to communicate, who is willing to help with all duties or tasks (helm, line handling, provisioning, cooking, cleaning, watch standing, passage planning, etc).
Bonus points if you can help with maintenance!
A little about the boat, the plans, and the current crew
comfortable, very safe, usually single handed, share experience, seek adventure, face challenges
Boat, recent trips and plans;
She is a 30' sloop rigged sailboat set up for singlehanded sailing. Recent upgrades include new standing rigging, new main sail, minor upgrades to the engine, the addition of a removable solent stay, asymmetrical spinnaker, new electronics, larger battery bank, refrigeration and more. She has a pretty standard layout for a 30' vessel - V berth forward, enclosed head, a main cabin with settee berths and starboard quarter berth and a small but complete galley.
In 2019 I concluded a season of sailing with my boat in the Sea of Cortez, north of La Paz, BCS, MX, after sailing from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas with the Baja HaHa rally. With the help of a great crew member, I sailed (bashed) back to the San Diego area.
April-Jun 2021, I completed a passage from the San Diego, CA area to Hilo, Hawaii; a two week cruise in the Hawaiian Islands; and day sails out of Honolulu.
Jun 2021, a solo passage from Oahu to Kauai.
Jun-Jul 2021, a solo passage from Kauai, Hawaii to Port Townsend, WA
Aug 2021, a cruise in the San Juan Islands, WA.
Sep-Oct 2021, coastal cruise / return to Oceanside, CA.
For the short term, I'll be day sailing and short trips along and off the SoCal coast.
What's expected of the crew aboard this boat
confident swimmer, rarely/unlikely seasick, good communicator, travel light (little luggage), respectful, clean & tidy, eager to learn & work, fit & healthy, positive outlook, trustworthy, can pay own expenses, enjoy cooking, don't mind cleaning, harmony
I'm looking to share the sailing experience and mini adventures encountered during a day sail or a cruise.
I'm comfortable with both novice and experienced crew and don't mind being shown a better way to do something!
When in port or anchored, etc - I'm not looking to simply chill, but to kayak, go ashore, hike, etc. - I do like a sundowner after a complete day.
Crew expectations;
Perform any/all crew duties you're able to do...passage planning, navigating, standing watch, helm handling, line tending, provisioning, preparing meals, cleaning, etc. Experience is always welcome, but more important are desire and willingness to learn if you don't have lots of experience. You need to be reasonably fit, not overly prone to sea-sickness, adventuresome and young at heart.

Introduction
I am looking for one or two crew members for a passage from Noumea, New Caledonia to Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia, and hopefully stay aboard until we reach Darwin, Australia sometime late in June 2022. I will consider candidates for just the Noumea to Bundaberg passage. Excellent English language skills are required. No sailing experience necessary. Watch keepers will maintain the course on two to four hour watches and notify the captain of lights on the horizon, other boats, or changes in the weather conditions during the day or night. Successful candidates will have outstanding personalities and can pay for their travel to and from the boat.
I may be able to provide some local transportation between the airport and the boat. I am looking for a crew member who can join the boat for three to eight weeks. We make passages only when weather conditions are favorable. We may sail as far northwest as Townsville, QLD, Australia. I will consider crew members who only plan to stay on the boat for the Noumea, New Caledonia to Bundaberg, Australia passage. Crew members will join the boat by May 12, 2022, and must depart the boat by July 1, 2022. There are no charges for accommodation and food or drink consumed on the boat while crew. Successful crew members will have to sign liability and photo waivers.
Captain Linus holds a USCG license and has sailed his boat from its home port of New Orleans, USA to Noumea, New Caledonia.

Introduction
We will sail with maximum 5 participants and offer on board the full enjoyment of the sail on an with all comfort.
The trip is easy to master for beginners as well as for experienced sailors.
A little about the boat, the plans, and the current crew
usually clean, comfortable, luxurious, very safe, vessel is survey certified, very spacious, share experience, visit remote places, seek adventure, fulfill a dream, face challenges, find a soulmate/partner, multicultural
This voyage is part of this ship's circumnavigation.
After sailing around the Atlantic and the Pacific, we will sail around New Zealand.
This is my sailing plan2022 it is part of the circumnavigation of this yacht.
This is the plan
Sailing around New Zealand
Due to the Conrona crisis, I have to make some changes to the sailing plan.
With New Zealand keeping its borders closed until further notice and neighbouring countries behaving the same way, I think it's best to stay in New Zealand waters for the next few weeks.
Closure permitting, I will probably sail along the coasts of New Zealand in early 2022. as soon as the border is open for me.
Then, in mid-May 2022, I hope to set off for Fiji.
Wind and weather will dictate the rod.
I think the first trip should be about 4 to 6 weeks. We will see how it goes from there. So if you are interested, please get in touch with me.
Stay healthy and take care of yourself
Heinz
The costs for the board will not exceed 20 to 30 Euro per day.
Of course it can be changed from time to time due to wind and weather.
With this in mind, please get in touch with us.
Good weather and good wind
Heinz
The Yacht
The centre cockpit of the yacht is extremely safe and you feel comfortable even in larger swells.
The yacht is a so-called ketch, i.e. it has 2 masts and thus lies very stable in the water.
The winches for operating the main sail and the genoa can be operated both electrically and manually from the cockpit.
Only the smaller mizzen sail has to be operated by hand.
The anchor winch is also electric and has a 100 m chain with a 30 kg anchor, which has never let us down so far.
This winch can also be operated from the cockpit.
There is another anchor at the stern of the yacht and one for the dinghy.
All instruments are clearly visible and are located in the cockpit.
In the stern there is a wind generator and 3 solar panels to generate further power, as well as a davit to which the dinghy can be attached.
Under the seat on the starboard side are 2 scuba tanks and an air compressor for diving.
Then we have two fishing rods to supply us with fresh fish.
In the other boxes are small storm sails, a spare sail and a spinnaker.
Inside
The yacht has 4 cabins and sleeps 6. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, refrigerator, freezer, microwave and sink. And all this with a headroom of 2.20 m, so that even tall people can work well in it.
There is also a washing machine and a dishwasher.
All cabins have air conditioning and hatches for light and ventilation.
There is a 220 volt generator to charge the batteries and to run the washing machine.
We also have a water maker that can produce 160 litres of fresh water per hour.
With our 1000 l water tank and the 600 l diesel tank we are therefore largely self-sufficient.
At least we can manage 4-5 weeks without a harbour, if we had to or wanted to.
There is plenty of storage space, someone once calculated that you could store 600 bottles of wine on board.
Safety
As safety comes first on the yacht, it is of course well equipped:
There are 2 life rafts for 4 people each, new life jackets, signal rockets, a VHF radio, a shortwave radio, a satellite telephone, flat rate for the internet, as well as emergency transmitters for the worst case scenario, which hopefully will never happen.
There is a safety line all around the yacht to hook into if you do need to go outside at night or in heavy weather.
Engines
The yacht is equipped with a Volvo Penta 75 hp engine and an Onan generator.
The dinghy has a 15 hp Yamaha engine that takes us to and from any anchorage.

Mini community (6-8) on a slow trip around the world
Hi.
I live on a old(super good condition) 51ft wooden sailboat currently. We are looking for extra crew, young of age or young of saoul. We are living a lifetime adventure and need/want more people aboard. Ideally for a minimum of 1 month. We want people that will be part of the crew, not just guests sleeping aboard for a few nights. People involved in the daily tasks and decision making(if staying for longer period of time).
The idea is the more we are the more we can sustain this lifestyle which is why we ask for a contribution of 30$per day per person. Food is not included (we have a crew money/pot). We honestly ask what we believe is fair for us to keep this lifestyle while allowing others to enjoy it.
We want adventurers, freedom seekers, sailors in this or previous life, open-minded people, travelers. We want to live traveling as long as we can and would like to meet people alike along the way.
We have a fully autonomous diving center aboard which can be made available to you if we can get to an agrement! All the equipment is brand new, including tanks and compressor.
We have paddles, fishing gears, spearfishing.. we run on solars, collect rain water and aiming to get as much as we can self suficient.
We try to enjoy every little moment. There is much to cover , but if the idea of freedom and aventures speaks to you, we can chat and see from there :)
Btw we do EVERYTHING aboard, if you are looking to learn news skills, this is like the ultimate oportunity.
See you soon :)
A little about the boat, the plans, and the current crew
usually clean, comfortable, very safe, very spacious, live on little money, share experience, share charter costs, visit remote places, seek adventure, fulfill a dream, learn a language, live off the grid, multicultural
At the moment we will stay around Panama see how the season goes.
***Please note that this is a liveaboard experience. What we offer is not a crossing or something like that, but a liveaboard adventure with everything that comes with it and we want people with the same desire of adventure and wanting to try a different lifestyle. We do not sail every single day , we sail from one destination to another, enjoy everything a place has to offer and than figure out our next move this way. We sail on good sunny days or when we feel like it, but we don't plan on certains NM per day or something that formal. It's an adventure, tomorrow is always unknown,so please if you are only looking to build you NM or getting somewhere, we might not be the good fit.
We are aware that not everyone can leave for months which is why we also welcome people coming for at least a month. The lifestyle has been a life changer for us, if we can give you a glimpse of how it is and have you going back home with a little spark, we would probably be the happiest crazy crew ever !
What's expected of the crew aboard this boat
confident swimmer, good listener, good communicator, respectful, clean & tidy, committed, eager to learn & work, fit & healthy, friendly, polite, LGBTIQA+ respectful, diligent, skilled, discreet, trustworthy, open minded, enthusiastic, easy going, sense of humor, can pay own expenses, ready to party, enjoy cooking, don't mind cleaning, good with maintenance, harmony

Dear Shipmates
Introduction
Looking for a competent female crew with native gerrman language,
the rest of this profile is exactly therefore: in german.
Covid-19 Update 24. September: Gelassen bleiben !
Bin wieder unterwegs. Zwischen den Inseln. Entspannt.
Gutes Revier. Gerade im Herbst/Winter. Wind, Badetemperatur, etc.
Keine Winterpause, keine Regenzeit, keine Sturmsaison.
Manchmal solo. Meist in Begleitung. Bisher knapp 10 Menschen.
Argentinien, Chile, Australien, Thailand, Bali, Hongkong, China
Senegal, Kenia, Syrien, Irak und Jordanien, vielfach Türkei, USA, BVI

A little about the boat, the plans, and the current crew

Dazwischen The Great Loop (über Great Lakes, Missouri, Mississippi), Panama Kanal, Pazifik, Indik
Mein Blickwinkel aufs Projekt:
Not just a cheap transportation from A to B under the guise/smokescreen of ecology and Greta
and at the expense of freedom and the budget and risc of other people/responsible skippers.
What's expected of the crew aboard this boat
confident swimmer, rarely/unlikely seasick, good listener, good communicator, respectful, committed, eager to learn & work, fit & healthy, friendly, polite, LGBTIQA+ respectful, positive outlook, trustworthy, open minded, sense of humor, can pay own expenses, enjoy cooking, don't mind cleaning, good with maintenance, can follow orders, will not bring a friend, will not bring a pet
maybe i would be fine with native english speaking female crew
even if we don´t match for long time sailing,
i am interested in exchange of opinions/experiences and social networking (chances/possibilities)

Introduction
Hello all, looking for interesting people to crew, you can join and leave as your schedule dictates. I am in Charleston from 3/6 until 4/1 before heading south again. I am also planning to take a week off work to coincide with with Memorial weekend to continue the trip south, hopefully sailing more than motoring.
I am very laid back, easy going, I've been sailing since I was a kid, taught sailing for a couple summer at Annapolis sailing school. Experience is welcome but not required. This is a good opportunity if you want to learn
I lived on my boat from 2007 until 2018 and and now back aboard full time. Living aboard, the boat is under constant refit. She is set up to be simple to sail, all lines led to the cockpit, new electronics this year, new asymmetrical flown once. Main and jib new with light use. Comfortable layout with fore/aft staterooms, large galley and central saloon.
I am advanced open water certified and have been diving Little Corn Island NI, Roatan and Utila Honduras, Aruba, Belize, Dominican Republic, Mexico and Australia.
I love to travel and have been to 40 some states. Aside from the dive spots above I've also been to Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Nicaragua multiple times. I lived in Korea and Australia.
I love to cook, explore cuisines from other cultures. Some of the best meals I've ever had were simple meals in the Caribbean.
A little about the boat, the plans, and the current crew
comfortable, very safe, vessel is survey certified, usually single handed, share experience, seek adventure, fulfill a dream, learn a language, face challenges, find a soulmate/partner, live off the grid, multicultural
I am looking for crew for passage from VA to FL and the islands with no set schedule or destination. My departure date is flexible, leaving right after the re-power is completed, working during the week and moving weekends. Crewing all or part of the trip is fine.
What's expected of the crew aboard this boat
rarely/unlikely seasick, good communicator, clean & tidy, committed, eager to learn & work, fit & healthy, friendly, polite, diligent, positive outlook, organised, trustworthy, open minded, enthusiastic, easy going, sense of humor, can pay own expenses, enjoy cooking
If you sail, great but not required. All you need is a desire to learn, travel and experience life, I can teach the sailing part.

Dear Shipmates
Introduction
This year plans (so far):
- North Sea crossing to England [Summer 2022, being planned]
- Colin Archer Memorial Race to Norway [being planned]
- Atlantic Crossing [2023]
Update of Feb 2022: this month we are installing new LiFePO4 batteries and related equipment for a decent upgrade of the electrical systems on board.
Update of May 20, 2020: the work at the boat starts to show off. Now its time for a thorough engine maintenance and in a month or 2 we will be sailing again.
Update of August 18, 2019: we have just returned to The Netherlands from Sint Maarten. The crew consisted of FindACrew members only and again was the best I've could wish for! We had a lot of fun and good sailing!
Some details of me and my crew (so far): I have about 35 years of sailing experience and have given quite some years of sailing training both on lakes as offshore. In my daily life I am working as a manager in a big tech company (ASML).
My first-mate is 30 years old and we have sailed quite a lot together. He has joined our trans-Atlantic crossing in 2018. He is an easy going guy who knows a lot about sailing and plays the guitar every now and then.
If you want to know more just ask.
A little about the boat, the plans, and the current crew
usually clean, comfortable, very safe, vessel is survey certified, have a holiday, share experience, visit remote places, seek adventure, fulfill a dream, face challenges, multicultural
Update of April 2021: everything we have learned from our 2 Atlantic crossings are being implemented, like extra lights, frames, etc. Also a full engine and sail maintenance is being undertaken.
Update of August 2019: my boat is currently back from Sint Maarten and now in The Netherlands after another amazing Atlantic crossing.
It is important that we have a good laugh every day (or even every hour), to enjoy some music and have a lot of fun and excitement. Of course it is also very important that each crew member takes his/hers responsibility and takes safety very serious.
What's expected of the crew aboard this boat
confident swimmer, rarely/unlikely seasick, good communicator, respectful, committed, eager to learn & work, friendly, polite, LGBTIQA+ respectful, trustworthy, open minded, enthusiastic, easy going, sense of humor, can pay own expenses, ready to party, will not bring a bicycle, will not bring a pet
We are serious when it comes to safety, but besides that also when it comes to having fun. Of course everything in agreement with the whole crew. This means we expect you to have a positive attitude, to enjoy life, open-minded and definitely respectful. This is all much more important to us then your sailing experience. If you know how to cook, and especially if it is different than our kitchen, you gain extra points!
Drinking alcohol: it is no problem to drink a beer or two of a nice glass of wine as long as you are able to perform your duties without introducing any safety risk. Being drunk during sailing is NOT accepted.
Smoking: this is allowed on board, but (of course) only outside. Inside remains smoke-free.

Setting sail to the south on a valiant 40 that I have been bring up to date with electronics, cosmetics and safety. This journey is about enjoying the passages at a comfortable pace, safely and not rushed to just get there. I have no real set agenda except to arrive alive.. I would like to take the first leg down to the sea of Cortez and explore that area until that interested is accomplished and then from there continue south along the coast of Mexico and to the canal.. From there I will see if its the Caribbean, Brazil or who knows.. Just looking for a fellow journey enthusiast who knows how to sail and enjoy the moment at hand and not needing to be anywhere else...
I have had sailing experience off and on since a kid. As a young adult I sail with my father and learned that if I had been the captain I wouldnt have to be the one cutting lobster pots from the prop or other such tasks..(lol).. In the early 2000 I did a series of ASA classes including coastal cruising.. I have a few night sails under my belt and just basic knowledge of seamanship..my mechanical skills are probably above average being a tradesman all my life and enjoy fixing and dinking around with stuff..
I will be continuing working on this vessel and sailing much more this summer as I prepare to depart..

Introduction
The boat is the place we call “home”, a floating home of just 25 square metres that offers us an alternative way of living. This is our choice to have the opportunity to connect with nature and interact with it in a sustainable way. The boat is able to turn salt water into fresh water, sun into energy, to provide food and shelter, to travel for months on end without visiting a dock… to be the platform for a multicultural and liberal lifestyle!
The outdoor dimension becomes the main field of our existence, our horizon of life. The boundaries between inner and outer space do not exist anymore, …
Greece, Sicily, Sardinia, France, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Green Cape, The Caribbean, The Galapagos, French Polynesia, Micronesia, New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia and other remote islands.
Our journey will count more than 25.000 miles to discover the world with an adventurous and supportive project.
An experience that becomes a chance to better understand our souls and our essential connection with the earth. The school of life!
This is both a platform and a travel journal that tells of places and people, a story that becomes a guide for ideas and suggestions. Not a “where to go” but a guide on ‘how to…”:
How can we live and travel respecting our ecosystem, caring for other cultures, traditions and environments.
How it can be possible to integrate with multiple differences and the unknown through the relational dimension of knowledge sharing, social action and cooperation.
How can we use, encourage and enhance our personal skills to contribute with small gestures to make this world a better place to live and give back our gratitude to mother earth.

I might need some help for first rigging setup and sail hoisting. If you want to build experience then novice sailors are welcome too. I have my boat in a slip at Fort Pierce and getting her ready to set sail very soon.

Introduction
I am an adventurer and have been cruising for ten years. I am embarking on another circumnavigation adventure starting from Panama, spending two months in Fiji, and proceeding around Cape of Good Hope , Brazil, some Caribbean Islands, and back to Panama.
I undertake to be responsible for living expenses including visas for different countries.
A little about the boat, the plans, and the current crew
usually clean, comfortable, luxurious, very safe, vessel is survey certified, very spacious, share experience, visit remote places, seek adventure, fulfill a dream
I need young crew to accompany me on an epic circumnavigation around our planet. I am prepared for any eventuality and is an experienced captain and have made friends in many countries during my past ten years of cruising. I am a surfer, diver, and keen hiker. All I ask is your trust and expect you to partake in all aspects of boat life including cleaning and preparing meals.
What's expected of the crew aboard this boat
confident swimmer, rarely/unlikely seasick, good listener, good communicator, travel light (little luggage), respectful, clean & tidy, committed, eager to learn & work, fit & healthy, friendly, polite, trustworthy, enthusiastic, easy going, don't mind cleaning, can follow orders, harmony
I plan to depart Panama mid April and expect the voyage to be twelve months. I will consider crew who do not wish to complete the voyage

Introduction
Hi sailors, I finally found a very beautiful and modern Hanse 385. 2021 plans: Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, Greece....
1 double cabin for guests.
A little about the boat, the plans, and the current crew
usually clean, comfortable, very safe, usually single handed, live on little money, share experience, visit remote places, fulfill a dream, multicultural
The boat is pretty well equipped with new water maker, new batteries, new and fast dinghi, ....
Over winter time I will service, upgrade and optimize some things on the boat. Feel free visiting me for some talks, discussions, beers,...
What's expected of the crew aboard this boat
good communicator, respectful, clean & tidy, fit & healthy, friendly, organised, trustworthy, open minded, easy going, can pay own expenses, don't mind cleaning
Easy going is preferred. I plan mostly day-trips in the mediterranean sea. It would be great having a companion on board for sharing the daily work and fun. Sailing, cooking, relaxing will be the preferred life on board.
The longer legs to Greece are planned for July 2022.
